It truly speaks to the idea that if something is meant for you, no matter what, it will come to you at the right time. Those who are close to me know; really know me-know that I am a fan of BTS. I’ve been a silent ARMY since late 2014. I’ve loved and supported them in my own little ways.
They are the ones who gave me strength and courage-to try again, to live again, one day at a time. As everyone says, “They will find you exactly when you need them.” They taught me to love myself again, to be true to who I am, and that it’s okay to fall as long as you learn how to get back up. I can’t really explain the magic they brought into my life, the happiness, the fulfillment.
I wasn’t able to secure a ticket when they came to Manila in 2017, despite lining up at the mall for almost four hours. I told myself maybe it just wasn’t the right time yet. Then came their solo tours, but because of life choices and adulting priorities, I still couldn’t see them.
And this year,this year became my best and luckiest one. After all the anxiety and doubts, I finally managed to secure a ticket. Going by myself. Arranging everything on my own. Just to see them. And I know it will all be worth it.
A dream come true.
A success born from blood, sweat, and tears.
